The Tennessee AIDS Advocacy Network amplifies the voices of people living with HIV (PLHIV) and their allies in Tennessee through advocacy. TAAN strives to provide strategic leadership in HIV advocacy that is powerful, effective, committed and inclusive, done with integrity using factual information in order to galvanize the advocacy efforts of PLWH’s, and to influence those who make policy decisions. “
As a member of the TN AIDS Action Network Volunteer Team, you will have opportunities to conduct outreach at events and festivals, make phone calls to let our Action Team know about advocacy opportunities, and enter the data that we need to keep our members connected and engaged. You will also be part of a community of more than 500 dedicated Tennesseans who give their time and energy to fight for the rights of people living with HIV and those at risk in our state.
The mission of Nashville CARES is to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee. With your help, Nashville CARES offers services annually to more than 50,000 Middle Tennesseans at-risk of or living with HIV/AIDS including: HIV prevention education to more than 29,000 youth and adults.
The TAAN Advisory Committee provides oversight for TAAN operations and input into the development of TAAN policy positions on HIV/AIDS issues. Committee membership is determined to assure that decision-making, communication and mobilization related to HIV/AIDS public policy is shared throughout the state.
